Few grapes go better with Italian food than Barbera and few winemakers know it better than Roberto Sarotto. With 90 hectares of vines in the Piemonte region, Roberto is a significant producer with a lengthy portfolio. Apart from Barbera, his stable includes Barolo, Nebbiolo, Barbaresco and Gavi. This Barbera is named after his 2nd daughter Elena, so you know it’s a labour of love.Combine this with the fact that Alba is one of the twin spiritual homes of the grape; Asti being the other.
