STORY BEHIND THIS WINE
The Domain Rapet estate is located across a number of sites between Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune. As is common to Burgundy, this is a family run winery with generations of experience. This particular expression of Pinot Noir comes from their site in the village of Pernand-Vergelesses located at the foot of the prestigious hill of Corton. To the untrained eye, this is a rather unassuming and non-descript outcrop but here we are in the spiritual home of Pinot Noir.
As a measure of their mastery, they are the only producers in the area working with both reds and whites. With multiple sites containing a number of Grand Cru and Premier Cru plots, as well as a commitment to biodiversity and sustainable viticulture, here we have the archetypal Burgundian winery with a modern twist.
