STORY BEHIND THIS WINE
Château Cambon La Pelouse dates back to the 1700′s, when it was founded by the Cambon family and Pelouse translates as lawn in French as they planted the lawns in front of the chateau with vines too. It has had many owners over the centuries and since 2016 has been owned by Australian company Treasury estates. The vineyard is in the commune of Macau, not far from Chateaux Cantemerle and Giscours. It comprises about 39ha of vines, 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 46% Merlot and 4% Petit Verdot. Soils are mostly gravel.
