STORY BEHIND THIS WINE
This is an outstanding example of the quality and potential of the Primitivo Grape. Native to the South of Italy Lirica Primitivo achieves the rare balance of intensly ripe rich dark fruits, cinnamon, aniseed with a lifted acidity and lick of fine tannnined oak. It's a wine that has won a huge number of plaudits in the Italian and international wine press, for its staigth-up no nonsese power , coupled with very good structure.
The prestigous Italian publication "Gambero Rosso 2020" gave this wine it's top award Tre Bicchiere. Only 200-odd wines achieve this rating in any given year. "It's a ripe, full wine rich in fruit and of notable length, but also sapid (strong & pleasant taste) and gutsy"
