Singularly distinctive expression of a grape like no other

Full-bodied with intense spicy and perfumed floral notes. Tropical flavours of blood oranges, lychees, apricots and pineapple fill the palate. Perfumed notes of rose petals, elderflower and lavender combine to produce that signature Gewürztraminer "Turkish Delight" profile. With an oily texture and a long finish this is an intensely rewarding wine, but not for the fainthearted!

STORY BEHIND THIS WINE

Kellerei Kurtatsch is a powerhouse co-operative working in the Alto Adige region of Northern Italy. Located at the foot of the alps, this is a challenging area to work vines which is why co-operatives are more en vogue here than anywhere else. With 190 families coming together to manage 190ha of vines across different terroirs and altitudes, the benefits of collaboration are obvious. One look at their cutting-edge wine cellar deep under the Alps should be enough to convince you of this. Gewürztraminer may not be easy to spell, but in the hands of these producers, it’s easy to enjoy.
