STORY BEHIND THIS WINE

The Korrell estate is located in the commune of Bad Kreuznach in the Nahe wine-growing region in Germany. Now entrusted to Martin Korrell it has been in the family for 250 years and he looks to the future and being able to pass it onto his children. The Paradies vineyard is the family’s pride and joy with this the charming “little brother” to the Paradies – less philosophical, more playful with loads of fruit and depth. Just as heavenly.

OUR IMPRESSION

This wine is the epitome of classic Nahe Riesling - crystal clear, lithe fruit to the fore and confident in its finish. On the palate, there is a touch of lees character with subtle sweetness playing with the refreshing acid character. A balanced Riesling with great fruit-acid balance and excellent depth of flavour.

AWARDS/REVIEWS

“Grapefruit and acacia honey lifting out the glass, pulling taut into the mouth with the bitter, scented weight of white citrus pith. Flowers woven through early summer peaches and lemon zest.” 16.5 / 20 Points. (Tamlyn Curran, JR Purple Pages, July 2019)
