Complex and full-bodied Bordeaux-style red
Full-bodied and intense with a ripe, structured core of black fruits with blackberry liqueur, mulberries, plums and blueberries. Smooth liquorice, vanilla and cedar notes reflect the well-balanced oak ageing. The complexity reveals itself with time in the glass. The finish is lengthy, fresh and gorgeous.

STORY BEHIND THIS WINE
Delightful echoes here of Bordeaux, all the way from Lebanon. With over 120 hectares of vines, on some of the highest vineyards in the Northern hemisphere and a $12m winery, these are producers of note in a country with a long history of winemaking. The name Ixsir derives from the original Arabic word for “Elixir”. The choice for the wineries name wasn’t an accident. Farmed organically and sustainably, the unique combination of history, topography and climate come together to produce wines of great distinction. This EL red is considered as one of their prestige offerings.
