Rich and ripe on the nose, then more focused and linear in the mouth, with juicy and lively blackberries and spice flavours. Ripe and round tannins with a slightly candied finish. A classic and fruity wine with a fresh taste and a nice complexity.
The wine has an attractive and complex mix or cherry, blackberry, anise and tobacco with a supple and long palate.
Ruby red with a distinctly inviting garnet hue. The nose is delicate yet complex with rose petals, red plums and pepper. On the palate you get red cherry, blackberry and leather alongside an earthy, wet forest floor profile of mushrooms and truffles. Dry with good structure, the tannins are well built.
From ancient vines, the ‘Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi’ is a DOP (Protected Denomination of Origin), which includes the Classico, Classico Superiore, Classico Riserva and so on. The highest possible classification from Italian wines, the Riserva Classico, was easily achieved by this Verdicchio. The wine was aged for 18 months in barriques, with an additional 6 in bottle. Resulting in a complex Verdicchio, with layers of almonds and ripe fruits. On the palate, the ageing translates into a creamy texture, with a still perfect freshness and a mouthwatering acidity.
A persistent fragrance with excellent complexity. Well-balanced fruit flavours of melon and pear blend with lightly toasted wood notes. Fresh and zingy with a long finish. A remarkable wine.
This is a wine with great structure and a capacity for ageing. Hints of peaches, yellow apples with fresh, balsamic notes. Full body, taut acidity, full of fruit, fresh and elegant.
