82% Zin, mainly St Helena from above Hayne, plus Petite Sirah, co-fermented and lots of concrete influence. Just 10% new oak. 10,000 cases made.
Fresh California flavour – really zesty and a fabulous emissary of the Golden State. Old barrels and Zin accentuate the raisin character so the more reductive environment of concrete is really useful. Textured end. Long. 17/20 Points - Jancis Robinson
Cellaring: Drink now or until 2025
Food Pairing: This wine will make an excellent match for sausage cassoulet, meat kabobs, grilled chicken breast.

Made in the classic field blend style including significant portions of Petit Syrah and Carignan. Delightful aromas of summer-berry conserve combined with a touch of spice and fresh fruit flavours. The 2018 Zin is one for the ages and we have already put extra stocks of it into our deep cellar. Tremendous aromatic intensity, yes, but it is the cool, calm and polished flavours that are getting us excited. Fine young—we just had it with chicken mole sauce for lunch—but it is the aging potential of this wine that is truly special.
