Powerful and fruity Bordeaux St-Estèphe

Typical of St-Estèphe reds, this is decidely rich and concentrated with aromatics of ripe raspberry, blackberry and liquorice. Further hints of nutmeg and vanilla reflect the well integrated oak-ageing. On the palate it is dry, full-bodied with dark plums, tobacco and dark chocolate.

  • Bronze IWSC (Awarded '21)
  • 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot
  • 12 Months ageing in French oak

Cellaring: Now to 2030

STORY BEHIND THIS WINE

Here is another storied Chateau of the Médoc but with a Flemish twist. Chris Cardon took over the estate in 2012 and had a vision. The standard profile of St-Estèphe wines is typically powerful, rustic and quite structured in their youth. Chris decided to change this and make them more approachable. After painstakingly studying every aspect of the estates production, he has succeeded in his mission. The power is still there but so too is further elegance and balance, to everyone's benefit. Read More
