STORY BEHIND THIS WINE

An incredibly historic and imposing estate that traces its history back to the middle ages. It achieved official classification in 1953 for both its red and white wines. In the ownership of the Bethmann family since 1867, this 55 hectare estate as one of the jewels of  Pessac Leognan. Only 2,000 cases made.

OUR IMPRESSION

An  exciting Pessac  made from a blend of 50% Sauvignon Blanc, 50% Semillon. Alluring citrus and honeyed notes  with some toasty notes.The palate is complex, lively with layers of citrus fruit flavours, peach and gingerbread. The oak is very well integrated. A glimpse at why premium Bordeaux whites need to attract far more attention. Read more.
