Elegant, complex and layered. Bright golden hues with distinct aromatics of lemongrass, lime zest, apples and elderflower. Medium-bodied with a creamy and textured palate of peach, honey and green papaya while still retaining a crispy acidity. A great length on the finish, wrapped in that distinctive gunpowder flint minerality.

STORY BEHIND THIS WINE

How do you go about making a world-class wine from scratch? Well you could do as the Dagueneuas do and follow their template. From the legendary Didier, through his son Louis-Benjamin and daughter Charlotte, every step along the way to this point has paid off spectacularly. This single-site Sauvignon Blanc is an expression of the quest for ultra-perfection and is the standard-bearer in the Estates portfolio. Didier, to the great shock of the wine world, tragically passed away in 2008. But through Silex he has achieved transcendence.
