STORY BEHIND THIS WINE
Marc-Emmanuel Cyrot and his brother, Olivier, are the fourth generation of the Cyrot family to be involved in wine. The wines are made traditionally; harvested by hand, de-stemmed and cold-macerated before fermentation. Oak aging of their wines is determined by the vintage character, generally between 10% and 35%.
This wine shows all the classic characteristics of quality Pommard. Relatively powerful tannins & firm structure accompanied by a bright ripe cherry fruit, laced with a stony/flinty mineral quality along with firm tannins . This is a wine for aging 4-6 years (from vintage) or for the impatient, decanted a good 2 hrs before serving.
