Marc-Emmanuel Cyrot and his brother, Olivier, are the fourth generation of the Cyrot family to be involved in wine. The wines are made traditionally; harvested by hand, de-stemmed and cold-macerated before fermentation. Oak aging of their wines is determined by the vintage character, generally between 10% and 35%.
This Cyrot-Buthiau Bourgogne Pinot 2020, made from Pommard fruit is true to the appellation. It is rich, powerful and sumptuous with layers of dark fruits and well-integrated French oak with all of the Je ne sais quoi of a great Pinot Noir. What makes this wine so appealing is that the tannins are ripe and polished ensuring that this wine is ready to be enjoyed now yet can be cellared for a further 5 years.
