For well over a century, Château Pouget has been celebrated and esteemed, securing its elite position among the Grands Crus Classés in 1855. It is also distinguished by two medallions on its façade, which bears witness to the various accolades it garnered prior to the 1855 classification. Initially a wine storehouse, it later underwent a transformation in the latter half of the 19th century, becoming an elegant residence. While the 'French Paradox' is a recent revelation, Château Pouget's wine virtues were officially acknowledged by the Maréchal-Duc de Richelieu in the 18th century, adorning it with a noble coat of arms. This illustrious history is woven into every bottle from Château Pouget.
