STORY BEHIND THIS WINE
Château Montus benefits from a large terroir, unique in the South-West, with a steep slope with large pebbles on fine clay from the Pyrenees. The miracle took place in 1985 when this wine impressed the hierarchy of great mythical red wines and was noticed around the world with its Tannat grape. Nicknamed "the Pétrus of the South-West" by a dozen critics for 30 years, Château Montus expresses all the qualities of these exceptional terroirs.
The wine is black, firm and full of tannins while allowing room for swathes of dark fruits and a bold structure. It is still in the aging process. Drink this blend of Tannat and Cabernet Sauvignon from 2024.
Aged between 12 and 14 months in 80% new oak.
