James Sucking 95Points “Decadent and attractive with blueberry and blackberry aromas that are abundant and clear. Full body, firm and chewy tannins and a long, flavourful finish. Very structured and poised. Try from 2023”

- "Another wine that outshines its price. Rich, succulent, typically Pomerol, with round tannins." Tom Doorley, The Irish Mail on Sunday, 16th January 2022
STORY BEHIND THIS WINE
Château Maillet is a small estate (4.5 hectares) in the tiny Pomerol appellation (800 hectares) with a rising star reputation.
Like all serious quality Pomerol, the wine has intensely hued colour, with aromas of fresh wild berries, dried fig or concentrated black plum preserves with a touch of forest floor, cocoa powder, anise & exotic spice which is reflected on the palate. Silky, smooth & intense texture with a long finish. 1/3 New Oak 2/3 2yr-old oak. Aged 14 months.
