STORY BEHIND THIS WINE

From Pomerol's largest, and arguably most historic estate comes a blend of Blend of 69 % Merlot, 16 % Cabernet Franc, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon. There's very much a light touch to the oak ageing with 12 months in barrique (18% New, 82% 1-3 years). This Grand Vin is typically lighter in style than your typically dense Pomerol giving it an approachability in its youth. Add in the fact that the average age of the vines here are 50+ years old. There's an interesting mix of elegence and rusticity here and this wine is drinking really well in its youth.
