Pale crystalline gold in appearance with a velvety effevescence. Full-bodied, this vintage has gratifying aromas of white peach, green apple, candied lemon and lime, honeysuckle and fresh hazelnut .Toasty brioche, nectarine and tangerine flavours add to the complexity on the palate. The Heidsieck House style is usually a combination freshness and tension, but this vintage also has a delicious creaminess to it. All this wrapped up in a distinctive and lingering saline finish.
Food Pairing: Try shellfish with a green salad, sashimi, lemon chicken or a Thai curry.

STORY BEHIND THIS WINE
Made from 100% Chardonnay, Heidsieck’s Blanc de Blancs is an ode to this most elegant of grapes. Only the juice from the first pressing of the harvest goes into this cuvee, sourced from approximately 10 of the most sought after crus in the Champagne region. Maturation is usually around 4 years which is longer than most other houses and creates a very distinctive style. It’s a case of opposites coming together create an harmonious whole, such is the balance between the taut freshness and silky creaminess from this prestigious producer.
