STORY BEHIND THIS WINE
Nicola Catena, left Italy for Argentina in 1898. Today Catena is one of the super-stars of Argentinian wine. Their holdings of extensive plots of old vines are the envy of many in the world of wine. The range of fine wines are both wonderful expressions of their terroir and truly World-Class in their own right. The Adrianna Vineyard is located at almost 5,000ft elevation in the Gualtallary sub-district of the Tupungato region. White Bones Chardonnay comes from select rows within Block 1 of the Adrianna Vineyard. The name refers to the soil underneath these rows, which is layered with calcareous deposits and limestone as well as fossilized animal bones - remnants of a river that used to pass through the region.
Aged in New French Oak for 16 Months.
