STORY BEHIND THIS WINE
Camensac is one of the Five classified growths of the Haut-Medoc appellation. It spreads North from Saint-Estephe to Margaux. Camensac's vineyard lies to the West of Saint-Julien, adjoining Ch. Belgrave to the North, and Ch. La Tour Carnet to the South West. The vines are planted on magnificent gravelly slopes, consisting of mainly of perfectly drained, deep gravel. The quality if this terroir, combined with an already well-established reputation, resulted in Camensac's inclusion in the 1855 Classification. It's a superb reference point for lovers of great Bordeaux.
Complex aromas of dark cherries and blackcurrants with pepper and herbs. A medium-bodied wine with red berries, mineral tones and vanilla. With smooth tannins balancing the fruit, the finish is long with cherry and mint on the finish.
