STORY BEHIND THIS WINE
There once was a time when it was easy to tell the difference between top-quality Beaujolais and Burgundy. Not so any more. Top-quality Beaujolias is now seen as a rival for many of its Northern cousins in everything except the price tag. Laurent Savoye of Domaine des Combiers bears some responsibility for this. Dedicated to farming in the traditional method, his wines have been punching above their wieght for years. "He makes one of the best Beaujolais Villages you will find" Neal Martin, Wine Advocate.
