Why Buy Me
Over the past 40 years Michel Bernard and his family have been refining their vineyards. They have replanted vines selecting the varieties for their particular traits. Grenache is planted for its power, Syrah for its fruit and elegance and Mourvèdre for its ability to age. Their efforts in the vineyard were rewarded this year with official certification of High Environmental Value.
Aromas of raspberry, spice vanilla and hints of violet dominate in the glass. A rich, complex wine with well-blended tannins giving flavours of red cherries, vanilla and earthy tones with hints of truffle on the finish.
92 Points The Wine Advocate “One of the best wines I tasted at this estate was the 2016 Chateauneuf du Pape Grande Reserve, which delivers a lovely mix of black cherries, vanilla, cedar and dried spices. It's full-bodied and creamy in texture, without any rough edges, yet has enough stuffing to age for a decade or more.” Aug 2019
