Luscious French-style red from the home of the "Super Tuscan"

Deep ruby in colour and full-bodied with intense and succulent black fruit flavours of currants, berries and plums. There is an earthy, forest floor -style savouriness with toasted vanilla spices, sage, tobacco and a hint of dark chocolate. Well-structured with rounded tannins and a long finish.

STORY BEHIND THIS WINE

What do you get when you combine a family with 6 generations of winemaking behind it with a region that was unknown until relatively recently? You get all the quality of Bordeaux with a distinctly Mediteranean twist. The fabled Antinori family are well known to lovers of Italian wine. Their presence in this small yet prestigious appellation has helped make Bolgheri a byword for quality. Wines here come in at a fraction of the price of an equivalent Bordeaux, but dont just take my word for it.
