STORY BEHIND THIS WINE
Niepoort are famed for their port wines, but since 2012 have made this still red wine in the Dao region. They have bought plots of vines, some very old which express the character of the region. They want to make traditional wines which are fresh and light.
This wine is fermented in stainless steel and aged in cement vats. This vintage shows fine, fruity aromas with black fruit and pepper. A medium-bodied wine with elegant forest fruits and spice. Acidity and fruitiness are perfectly balanced.
