STORY BEHIND THIS WINE
Established in 1995 by Benjamin Romeo, Bodega Contador had very small beginnings in a cellar underneath a castle in Rioja. His began buying vines in 1996 and continued to grow his winery. In 2001 he began to make wine in his parent’s garage, thus expanding the capacity for production. The vintages 2004 & 2005 made in the garage scored 100 pts from Robert Parker. He is an exciting producer! In 2008 he opened a purpose-built winery.
