The estate was established in 1834 and has 25ha of some of the finest vineyards in the Hermitage. La Chapelle is produced from a blend of the best plots including Le Méal, Bessards and Greffieux.
The 2011 Hermitage La Chapelle continues to shine. It has a gorgeously intense aroma of plum and spice. It is full and powerful, with chewy tannins and a long finish. It is full-bodied with plenty of sweet fruit flavours, blackberry with spice and meaty tones. This wine is delicious and will last for another twenty years.
16.5 Jancis Robinson, Sept 2014; 95 points Robert Parker, Sept 2015 “love it”.
