Why Buy Me

This wonderful Château traces its roots back to 1585 when Francois d’Asleme, squire and adviser to king Henri 111 at the Bordeaux parliament, created the estate.  This estate under the care and guidance of Nathalie Perrodo Samani who took over it’s management from her father in 2008 has really entered into a golden era with a complete restructuring of the vineyards and cellar. It is  classed as a 3rd Classed Growth within the 1885 classification and it could be fairly viewed as a super ‘3rd’.

Winemaker's Pitch

A gorgeous Margaux with great vibrancy, compelling complexity, intense floral character with layers of flavors that linger  and linger on the palate. Simply, beautifully made and one of the best Marquis d'Alesme ever made.

Product Award

The 2015 Marquis d'Alesme Becker is composed of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot. It has a deep garnet-purple color and a broody, earthy/meaty nose over a core of crushed black currants, plum preserves and blackberry pie with hints of Indian spices and potpourri. The medium to full-bodied mouth displays a great core of rich black fruit flavors and a firm frame of ripe tannins plus seamless acid with a long, earthy finish.”

“Heady floral notes and one of the fattest palates there is in 2015!  Relatively dramatic.”
