Red fruit to the fore with intense aromas of strawberries and Morello cherries. On the palate further flavours of raspberries, red plums and a touch of rhubarb. Finely balanced and well-integrated oak is a hallmark of the domain and this adds subtle notes of spicy pepper, cloves and vanilla. All nicely complimented by a long, mineral-rich finish.

STORY BEHIND THIS WINE

Few would dare to argue that the little village and surroundings of Vosne Romanée are home to the world’s greatest Pinot Noir. And sitting right in the heart of it is the Premier Cru vineyard of Les Suchots. No other region does family affairs quite like Burgundy and Sebastien and Sophie are now the 6th generation of Noëllats to manage here. The philosophy in the vineyard is one of lutte raisonée, a conscientious approach to organic practices. Sebastien labelled 2018 a “dream year”. So what are you waiting for?
