Why Buy Me
The exceptional terroir, the unique Bolgheri Conglomerate soil, the natural conditions, the wind exposure, and the microclimate combine to allow vines of exceptional quality to grow, which in turn give us wines which are unique, authentic and distinctive. From three different plots of vineyards in Campo di Sasso, west of the road that joins Bibbona to Bolgheri on the lower elevation, which means the land is more sandy and the climate is warmer during the summer months. These conditions are ideal for growing Syrah, which accounts for 32% of the blend of Insoglio del Cinghiale. The remaining part is Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot.
In Insoglio del Cinghiale we have a very fleshy wine, from the distinctive Upper Maremma terroir. The peppery characteristics coming from the Syrah make it the ideal accompaniment to game dishes, such as the local wild boar Cinghiale (after which it is named), roast pheasant or rich game stews.
"Gorgeous brambleberries, roasted herbs and soaked blueberries show on the nose and follow through to a full body with ripe tannins and a fruit filled finish. Spicy, too. Drink now. 92 points." (James Suckling, Jamessuckling.com, April 2019)
