The wine displays a medium garnet color. It offers a seductive and captivating nose, showcasing ripe black fruits with hints of cassis and cherries, complemented by subtle floral nuances. Medium to full-bodied, it is well-balanced, delivering a smooth and supple texture with a core of ripe fruit and firm tannins. These tannins are kept in check by a refreshing acidity, which also provides a lift to the wine through a long and persistent finish. The wine has matured nicely, resulting in an immediately enjoyable drinking experience.

STORY BEHIND THIS WINE

Château La Création, near renowned châteaux like Petrus and Le Pin in Pomerol, has been owned by the esteemed de Gaye family since 2012. They also possess Châteaux Grand Corbin Manuel and Château Saint Barbe. The estate spans 4.60 hectares with Merlot, Cab Franc, and Cab Sauvignon vines, averaging 45 years in age. Meticulous hand-harvesting and precise vinification techniques contribute to their exceptional Pomerol wines. Following a cold maceration, traditional vinification occurs in temperature-controlled concrete vats, followed by gentle maturation in French oak barrels. The 2012 acquisition prompted significant renovations, restoring Château La Création to its former splendor, resulting in a refined, characteristic Pomerol wine.
