STORY BEHIND THIS WINE

From an historic estate in the heart of Marlborough. Somewhat unusually for this region, here is a producer that prides itself on its Pinot above all else. As a mark of the estates heritage, the original owner, David Herd has a statue dedicated at Blenheim airport. At 65-hectares, many blocks are located on greywacke, the rock on which Marlborough’s reputation was built. Sustainably produced with a minimalistic philosophy in the vineyard. Combine that with the fact that 2020 was an exceptional year here means you don’t have to look to Burgundy for top quality Pinot.
