Krohn was established in 1865. They are well-known for their tawny ports as well as their single vintage ports. This is a single vintage port which ages for up to six years in cask and is then bottled. As a result it can be drunk earlier than a vintage port. It is neither fined nor filtered and therefore may throw a sediment.
A complex mature aroma of berry fruits and some leather and spice. The wine is smooth, rich, round with attractive fruit flavours of cherry, plum and prune. A spicy complexity and intense flavours give good weight to this wine.
