Farmed biodynamically, Rippon is simply one of the most exciting family owned wineries on this planet. It is a complete farm entity on a unique and distinct land on the western shores of Lake Wanaka, Central Otago.
For over one hundred years, the land has been cared for by successive generations of the Mills family. Lois & the late Rolfe Mills established Rippon and their children continue to farm the land today. All Rippon Wines are issued from a single vineyard and the entire property is run biodynamically.
Rippon Wines achieve consistently high scores in international wine competitions, and amongst wine critics eg; Tinkers Field Pinot Noir 2012 rated 94+ by James Suckling. For a glimpse into what Central Otago can produce the wines of this estate are as blue chip as you can get.
